Losing Streak Continues for Brewers with 2-1 Loss to Tigers
|
Another game, another loss for the struggling Milwaukee Brewers.
Milwaukee got a valiant performance from pitcher Pedro Martinez, but it wasn't enough to beat the Detroit Tigers. Detroit won the game, 2-1. Martinez threw 8.0 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. The Tigers, at 69-49, sit in second place in the AL American League East.
In the bottom of the sixth, Detroit designated hitter Mark Grace gave his team the lead. With two out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Amazing hit his 14th double of the year. Milwaukee pitcher Pedro Martinez surrendered it. With that, the Tigers jumped in front, 2-1.
"Come up with some new questions," snapped losing manager Stan Perzanowski to reporters, "and I'll come up with some new answers."
