Pirates Suffer 7-6 Setback
The Cincinnati Reds knocked off the Pittsburgh Pirates, 7-6, at Riverfront Stadium. Jordan Riedl was a big reason Cincinnati won. The first baseman was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 4 runs and drove in 2. The Reds sit in first place in the NL National League Central with a record of 96-59.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Cincinnati shortstop Jim Sanchez, facing Steve Montgomery, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Reds the 7-6 win.

"It's great to see the crowd jacked up," Sanchez said.
