Reds Top Phillies, 6-1
|
Cincinnati right fielder Jay Buhner made his presence felt in the 6-1 Reds triumph over the Philadelphia Phillies. Buhner went 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The Reds lead the NL National League Central by 6 games.
Early in the game, Buhner had a 3-run home run for Cincinnati. It was his 50th home run of the season and put the Reds on top, 4-1.
"I thought we played a nice game," Buhner told the Cincinnati News. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
