Rangers Pop White Sox, 9-3
|
Texas Rangers starter Daryl Henderson pitched a strong game against the Chicago White Sox at Guaranteed Rate Field, leading the Rangers to victory, 9-3. Henderson went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 2, and struck out 5. His record improves to 4-2. The Rangers go to 83-57, putting them first in the AL American League West.
It could have been a different outcome for Texas, had it not been for Kevin Young, the 30-year old first baseman . Young contributed a run-scoring triple in the top of the second inning to put Texas up, 3-1.
"The fans pay the tickets and help us do what we do, so we like to put on a show for them," Henderson told the Texas Daily News.
