Seattle Left Fielder Picked AL Player of the Week Monday, August 11th , 1997 The marquee name in the AL this week is Glenallen Hill of the Seattle Mariners. The hot-hitting 32-year-old left fielder put up a .481 average and .483 on-base percentage, piling up 13 hits in 27 at-bats, 4 home runs, 7 RBIs and 8 runs scored. That kind of hitting got him the AL Player of the Week honors. Thus far this year Hill has hit .264 with 38 home runs and 85 RBIs. |
