25 Games in a Row for Riedl
Thursday, September 11th , 1997
Jordan Riedl continued his streak at Busch Stadium II today, even as the ballgame did not go his way. The Cincinnati first baseman was 1-for-4 in today's contest and now has hit safely in his last 25 games. The Reds were not as fortunate, losing 6-4 to the St. Louis Cardinals.

"Riedl was hitting everything we threw at him," said St. Louis manager Geoffrey Jones. "He is a tough out. Fortunately, things went our way in the ballgame today and we came away with a win."
Jordan Riedl hit a two-run home run off Erik Hanson in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th and flied out in the 8th.

So far this season Riedl has 14 home runs and a .350 batting average.
