Tacoma Out of Playoff Race Monday, September 8th , 1997 The playoff picture is continuing to come into focus in Pacific Coast League and this year, the postseason won't include the Tacoma Cubs. The team today was mathematically eliminated from qualifying for the postseason. The Cubs have missed the playoffs 26 times in their 29 years as a Pacific Coast League franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 8th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 1989. In the last 10 seasons, the Cubs have only made the playoffs once. Tacoma has won the Round 1 2 times in their history. |
