Giants Rally For 3-1 Win
|
The Giants grabbed a win, 3-1, at Busch Stadium, overcoming a fine effort from St. Louis pitcher Michael Wacha. Wacha went 8.1 innings and allowed 1 run. San Francisco is second in the National League West Division with a record of 46-42.
San Francisco used the timely hitting of Nathaniel Lowe to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the 12th inning to put the Giants on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Anytime we get it going, it puts a smile on my face," said Lowe.
