Baltimore Loses, 8-4, Despite Holliday Performance
|
Baltimore got a terrific game from right fielder Bug Holliday. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Seattle, 8-4. Holliday went 4 for 4 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Seattle reliever Hideo Nomo picked up the win, upping his record to 15-0. Sergio Guerrero took the loss. With the win, Seattle goes to 49-43, while the Orioles fall to 51-38.
Al Wingo, the two-time All-Star , had a direct impact on the outcome. Wingo contributed a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put Seattle up, 5-1.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Wingo said after the game.
