Los Angeles Bats Go Silent in 4-0 Loss
|
The San Francisco Giants beat the Los Angeles Dodgers, 4-0, at AT&T Park. Starting pitcher Al Hollingsworth was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Hollingsworth went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 6, and struck out 5. His record improves to 11-6. The win elevated the Giants to 53-51.
The Giants got a big at-bat from designated hitter Dilson Herrera. For the game, Herrera went 2 for 3 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 4th double of the season gave San Francisco a 1-0 lead.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Herrera told the San Francisco Daily.
