The Boston Red Sox had to overcome a big game from Texas designated hitter Ralph Kiner to leave Globe Life Park in Arlington with a victory. And they did, winning 6-5. Kiner went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Tyson Ross notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. His record now sits at 7-3. Texas has now lost 4 in a row.

The game was at a stalemate until third baseman Clyde Barnhart came to bat in the top of the tenth. Facing Texas pitcher Tom Bradley, he hit a 0-1 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Boston on top, 6-5.

"Nice to tuck this win away," said Barnhart.
