McGriff Blasts Rangers, Orioles Take Game 4, 5-4
On the verge of being swept and facing a red-hot Texas Rangers team, the Baltimore Orioles had a tough assignment. Fred McGriff delivered.

The Orioles first baseman was unstoppable for the visitors, as he went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 in guiding his club to its first victory of the series, 5-4. McGriff, 29, earned accolades for his efforts. The win means Baltimore now trails 3-1 in the best-of-7 series.

Jackson Holliday, the slick-fielding shortstop , had a direct impact on the outcome. Holliday contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Baltimore up, 5-4.

"We were a little off-kilter to start the series, but we're getting things figured out now," Baltimore manager Paul Dawson told reporters. "At least I hope we are."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Globe Life Park in Arlington in Arlington.
