Colorado Wins Divisional Round
|
The Colorado Rockies are off to the League Championship Series.
By a final score of 2-1 at Citi Field, Colorado ended the Divisional Round and knocked out the New York Mets by a series score of 4-1.
"Two great teams, only one can go on and we're happy that's us," said George Sisler, who was named series MVP. "There's no easy games, no easy series in the Major League Baseball playoffs."
For the series, Sisler hit .250 with a .250 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 4 runs.
The Colorado Rockies don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Milwaukee Brewers - Nashville Stars series. Nashville leads the series 3 games to 1. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Divisional Round finishes.
