Morgan Gets 5 Hits
Texas shortstop Bobby Morgan went down swinging at Globe Life Park in Arlington today, knocking out 5 hits even as his Rangers fell, 8-7.

"It was like I was hitting Little League pitching," Morgan said after his 5-for-5 performance against the Chicago Cubs. "No offense meant to Chicago, but it was like I was back in little league again -- I could see the ball that well."

After the game, his manager elaborated on the shortstop's improvements, saying Morgan spent the offseason trying to shorten his swing and stay inside the ball.

"That's what I'm trying to do," Morgan agreed. "Be quick to the ball and let it travel a little farther so I get a better look at it."

Bobby Morgan singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, doubled in the 6th and hit an RBI double in the 8th.

So far this season Morgan is batting .320 with 5 home runs.
