Bannon Mashes 2 Homers in 6-4 St. Louis Win
The St. Louis Cardinals dealt the New York Mets a 6-4 loss at Busch Stadium II. Justin Bannon, who is tied for 10th in the NL in RBI with 22, was the star on offense. He belted 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. The winning pitcher was Ruben Munoz. He's now 3-2. He went 7 innings, allowing 4 runs on 6 hits for the Cardinals. New York, with the loss, is 15-12.

Bannon had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 0-1 fastball from Paul McCracken, he banged a 2-run home run to right-center, giving the Cardinals a 6-4 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Bannon.
