Spiders Handle Marlins, Nab 6-3 Win
|
Conditions were not ideal but Cleveland and Florida were able to put their game in the books.
Eric Hoy knocked in 4 runs to help Cleveland beat Florida, 6-3. The Oceanside, New York native tallied 2 singles and 1 home run. Their 44-48 record puts the Spiders 4th in the AL Central Division.
Hoy got the Spiders off to a quick start. In the top of the first, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he hit a 2-run single.
"No complaints from me," said Spiders manager Will Labadie. "I like what I saw out there."
