White Sox Rally to Win
|
Chicago defeated Washington, 7-6, in large part due to fan favorite Anthony Dorsey. Dorsey drove in 3 runs. The catcher had 2 doubles and 1 home run for the White Sox. Alejandro Lopez, now 2-0, was credited with the win in 1 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 0 and walking 0. The White Sox sit in second place in the AL Central Division with a record of 67-57.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 15th. With no one out, Dorsey hit a slider from Danny Burkhart for a solo home run. The White Sox, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"It's great to see the crowd jacked up," Dorsey said.
