Oliver Cracks 5 Hits
|
Players get multi-hit games all the time, but 5-hit games are something else entirely. Josh Oliver walloped 5 hits in 5 at-bats for the Savannah Sand Gnats in a career day at Ballpark of Coal Creek, but it was the Nashville Sounds who won the ballgame, 7-6.
"My swing was really, really there," Oliver said afterward. "I made some good, solid contact and when that happens, good things happen. And hey, 5-for-5 and losing is better than 0-for-5 and losing, right?"
Josh Oliver singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 7th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 10th.
In this current campaign Oliver is hitting at a .330 clip with 13 home runs and 42 RBIs.
