Expos Top Pirates, 2-1, Behind Harris
|
Stade Olympique was the site of a tense game between the Pittsburgh Pirates and Montreal Expos.
In a low-scoring affair between the Montreal Expos and the Pittsburgh Pirates, pitcher Josh Harris was the difference between victory and defeat. The Montreal left-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 2-1 Expos win. Liam Broner got credit for the save for Montreal. It was his 14th of the year.
Harris allowed 1 run over 8 innings. He also racked up 7 strikeouts.
"Tough loss," said Pittsburgh manager Kyle Wyckoff. "The kind that burns a little inside."
The win puts Montreal at 35-30 this season.
