Raccoons Mathematically Out of Playoffs Saturday, August 30th , 1997 It has been a woeful season for the Raleigh Raccoons and now they have been officially eliminated from playoff contention. "You always need some things to break your way to get into the playoffs," said manager . "And nothing broke our way this year." Raleigh last appeared in the postseason in 1994. This is their 3rd consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 20 times in their 21-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Raccoons have only made the playoffs once. |
