Everett Moves on to League Championship Series Wednesday, September 13th , 1995 The Everett Aquasox are riding high after winning the Division Series and eliminating the Bradenton Marauders by a series score of 4-2. The final blow came tonight at Ballpark of Corcoran, when Everett secured its spot in the League Championship Series with a 5-3 victory. "It feels good to put them away because we really didn't want to let them crawl back into this series," said center fielder Glen Morrall, who was named series MVP. "A team like that, you need to bury them when you get the chance." Morrall certainly helped his team's cause, as he hit .393 with a .414 on-base percentage in the series. He also chipped in 1 home runs, drove in 3 RBI and scored 4 runs. The Everett Aquasox will play against the Fayetteville Woodpeckers in the next round. Fayetteville won their series against the Gastonia Honey Hunters 4 games to 0. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Division Series finishes. |
