Scottsdale Frenzy pitcher Mike White was in fine form, leading his team past the Milwaukee Talkies, 6-1. The winner was White. He threw 8.1 innings of 7-hit ball. The loser was Tony Thornber. With the win, Scottsdale raised its record to 55-41.

Scottsdale used the bat of Keith Larocha to get the win. The catcher hit a fastball from Tony Thornber out of the park for a grand slam home run. The blast came in the top of the fifth inning and put the Frenzy on top, 5-0. It was Larocha's lone hit, but it left a mark.

"This isn't football or hockey where you can overwhelm your opponents," Larocha told the Scottsdale Times. "Everyone gets 27 outs and we happened to make the most of them."
