The Van Nuys Amateurs and Little Rock Steal were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

Kenshin Yoshida had a good game, but he could not keep the Van Nuys Amateurs from falling, 5-4, to the Little Rock Steal at Amateurs Ballpark. The Van Nuys shortstop was 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once in the loss. Little Rock reliever Yanni Waweru picked up the win, raising his record to 1-1. Flavio Cipriani was tagged with the loss. Marty MacDonald picked up the save, his 5th.

The most important at-bat for Little Rock came in the top of the ninth inning, when pinch hitter Rich Hall stroked a 3-1 sinker to center for a run-scoring single, putting Little Rock up, 5-4.

"I just tried to make good contact," said Hall.

After today's action, Little Rock sits at 25-17; Van Nuys slips to 14-28.
