Multi-HR Game for Parks in 10-7 Win
|
Benefiting from Noel Parks's productive game, the Brooklyn College Tycoons downed the Milwaukee College Steelhounds, 10-7. Parks belted 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the Tycoons. Rusty Dyer, 3-0, earned the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 3 innings. Henry Rice closed the game out for Brooklyn College, earning his 3rd save.
Parks went 4-5 with 2 home runs and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for Brooklyn College. With the game tied in the bottom of the sixth inning, Parks, who is the 7th-best prospect in the Tycoons organization, had a clutch at-bat. That's when he hit a 2-run single to give the Tycoons a 8-6 lead.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Parks, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
Brooklyn College has a record of 15-19, placing them third in the Conference 2 East Division.
