The Montreal Mounties did just enough to sneak past the Fremont Red Bulls, 5-4, at The Museum of Shit Players. Montreal pitcher Daniel Brown, in particular, had a standout performance. Brown picked up the win for Montreal, going 6.2 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 2-0. Mark Moore closed the game out for Montreal, earning his 4th save.
Phil Casey contributed to the Mounties cause with a productive at-bat in the bottom of the fifth inning. With the bases loaded, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run, giving Montreal the lead.
"You never take a win for granted in this league," said Brown.
Fremont is now 9-9.
