The Mississauga Foxes picked up a win at Field of the Lumberjax, knocking off the Portland Lumberjax, 4-2. On the mound for Mississauga was right-hander Joe Bush, who played a pivotal role in the win. Bush got the win, improving to 2-2. He allowed 5 hits and walked 2 over 8 innings. Bush allowed 2 runs. Adrian Bryant got the save, the 2nd for him this season.
Link Owen made it 4-2 in favor of Mississauga when he delivered a 2-run single. It came with one out in the top of the ninth. The Foxes went on to win.
Portland manager Maverick McNutt said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
With the win, Mississauga boosts its record to 10-15.
