The Chandler Black Knights eked out a 3-2 win versus the Baton Rouge Red Hawks at Baton Rouge Grounds. Nobody did more than pitcher Tsuramatsu Yamamoto. He was terrific. Yamamoto, now 16-4, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 4, walking 1, and allowing 1 run. Steven DeWarrenne earned his 29th save in 33 chances.

With two out in the top of the first, Joe Chapman put Chandler in front, 2-0, with a 2-run home run. The Black Knights went on to win the ballgame.

"This isn't football or hockey where you can overwhelm your opponents," Chapman told the Chandler Gazette. "Everyone gets 27 outs and we happened to make the most of them."

Chandler has now won 3 in a row.
