The San Diego Fuzz overcame a good performance by Halfway third baseman Allen Santarelli to knock off Halfway, 5-4, at Ballpark of Halfway. Santarelli was 3-4 with 3 singles. Micah Wills went 7.1 innings for San Diego to pick up the win. The right-hander was charged with 4 runs. He scattered 11 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 3. His record improves to 5-10. William Morrow recorded the save, his 22nd.

It could have been a different outcome for San Diego, had it not been for Tom Rucker, the 24-year old catcher . Rucker contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put San Diego up, 5-4.
