San Diego Fuzz starter Tanguy Jacquot pitched effectively against the Halfway Thugs at Ballpark of Halfway. The right-hander spearheaded his team's 3-1 win. The Fuzz go to 51-74, putting them 12th in the DC League.

It could have been a different outcome for San Diego, had it not been for Tom Rucker, the 24-year old catcher . Rucker contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put San Diego up, 3-0.

"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Fuzz manager Jeremiah Wilson, "I like our chances."
