Atlanta Topples Thornton, 1-0
|
In a low-scoring tilt between the Atlanta Pterodactyls and the Thornton Berserks, Mike Carter was the difference-maker. The Atlanta right-hander spearheaded the 1-0 win. Atlanta reliever Shawn Rollins was the winner. His record is now 4-3. Eugene Mousa took the loss. Brad Larsen earned his 22nd save in 26 chances.
Atlanta took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning, when Steven Short hit a clutch solo home run to bring Pterodactyls fans to their feet.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Carter said.
The Pterodactyls now have a record of 33-81.
