The performance of Jason Jones proved critical in helping Montreal beat Fresno, 12-2. The Mounties center fielder went 2-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 7 RBI and scoring twice. Clifford Randall got the win, improving to 5-7. He pitched 7 innings, giving up 4 hits and 1 run, while striking out 10 and walking 1. Montreal, now 29-32, holds down 10th place in the The Fixer Upper League.

Jones made an early impact for Montreal when he stroked his 4th home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which came in the bottom of the third, put the Mounties on top, 6-0.

"You can't sugarcoat this one," said Fresno manager Shawn Mitchell. "We got flat-out beat."
