The Fresno Fightin' Nuns got a superb performance from left fielder Melvin Crabtree, but the Montreal Mounties still won the game, 10-8. Crabtree went 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Robby Smith sewed up the save, his 12th. The 10th-place Mounties now sit at 30-33.

In the bottom of the sixth, Montreal pinch hitter Cristián Rivas hit a 3-run home run to center field. It put the Mounties up, 8-5.

"Winning is not something we take for granted," Rivas said.
