Terrorist Defeat Yellow Jackets, 3-2
|
Eldersburg wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Jack Estes, falling to the Toronto Terrorist, 3-2. Estes threw 7.2 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. Toronto reliever António Beltrán was the winner. His record is now 6-3. The losing pitcher was Bill Shepherd. The Yellow Jackets, at 42-35, have lost 5 straight games.
The Terrorist procured the win, in large part because of second baseman Nari Bertolini. In the bottom of the 17th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
"This place was rockin'," said Bertolini.
