Getting an impressive start from Gilberto Castro, Scottsdale beat Dry Run by the score of 4-1. With the win, the Salamanders have a record of 35-57.

With Scottsdale trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Jack Brooks hit a 3-run home run off Dry Run pitcher Pirthee Thamma. It put the Salamanders ahead 3-1.

"We want to make a habit of winning," Brooks said after the game.
