McCall Helps Lumberjax Beat Torpedoes, 5-2
Riding the 4-hit performance of the 22-year old center fielder David McCall, the Portland Lumberjax stopped the Toledo Torpedoes, 5-2. Steve Atkins earned the win to go to 8-12. He allowed 2 runs on 8 hits, with no walks and 10 strikeouts in 6 innings of work. Floyd Brown earned save number 14 this season.

Early in the game, McCall had a 2-run home run for Portland. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Lumberjax on top, 2-0.

"I'm trying to keep it simple," said McCall. "Just do my job."

With the win over Toledo, the Lumberjax improved to 59-62.
