MacNeill Hands Bakersfield 3-2 Loss
|
The Reno Red Bulls did just enough to secure a victory over the Bakersfield Sound, 3-2, at Knight Trains Ballpark. Nobody did more than pitcher Kevin MacNeill. The save went to Alex Christopher, his 15th this season. The Red Bulls improved to 57-77.
MacNeill, the winner, is now 2-4 after putting the clamps on the Bakersfield offense. In 8 innings of work, he gave up 2 runs on 2 hits, while collecting 9 Ks.
MacNeill told a Reno Observer reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
