Sheriffs Pull Off Thrilling 8-4 Win in Extras
The San Antonio Sheriffs topped the Las Vegas Daredevils, 8-4, in Mafia League action at Burnaby Ballpark. The game was highlighted by the performance of San Antonio pitcher Juan Carlos Martínez. San Antonio has run its win streak to 8 consecutive.

James Hunter came through with a big-time hit for San Antonio. The pinch hitter smacked a grand slam home run in the top of the 11th inning to give his team the lead, 8-4. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"The guys come to the ballpark ready," said Sheriffs manager Michael Bell. "They're going out there and doing the simple things right."
