Dauphin Island got a decent performance from pitcher Steve Bryant, but it wasn't enough to beat the Peoria Pepes. Peoria won the Brigade Ballpark contest, 6-3. Bryant threw 9.0 innings of 8-hit ball for the losing team. Peoria is 14th in the Mafia League with a record of 42-70.

This game was not decided until Andy Davis came to bat in the top of the 14th. With the bases loaded and no one out, the Peoria first baseman drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Pepes took the lead, 4-3.

"It was terrific getting this win," Davis said. "We put in a lot of work to do it."
