Crowds lined up early in front of Ballpark of Boise HS, eagerly awaiting the start of the 2105 RLB High School 1 season. On the mound was Tim Smith for the visiting Glendale HS Cossacks and Joe Briggs for the hometown Boise HS Polecats. In a spirited contest, the Cossacks pulled out the win, defeating the Polecats by the score of 8-7. Especially impressive was Adam MacAslan. Jeff Nelson earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.2 innings. He upped his record to 1-0.

Palmer Bannatyne had the most critical at-bat for Glendale HS. With no one in the top of the ninth inning, Bannatyne hit a 2-2 cutter from Tommy Smith for a 2-run single. It put Glendale HS in front, 8-7.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Boise HS manager Ricardo Delgado. "But we decided not to take it."
