Yuma second baseman Ron McDonald helped his team beat the Bowling Green Hot Rods, 13-3. McDonald, who is tied for 4th in the DCL in RBI with 64, went 3 for 5 for the Vultures. At 43-15, the Vultures claim second place in the Dean's a Chump League.

The result might have been different for Yuma, had it not been for Howard Ramsey, the 19-year old first baseman . Ramsey stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put Yuma up, 4-3. For the game, he had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"They played a better game than we did," said Bowling Green skipper Brendan Smith.
