Redbirds Hang 6-3 Loss on Eskimos

The home team was supported by a raucous crowd at Redbirds Stadium.
Memphis HS second baseman Denny Price had a 3-RBI game, which proved instrumental to his team beating the Portland HS Eskimos, 6-3. Price picked up 2 singles and 1 double in the ballgame. The Redbirds, now 6-2, have been playing some good baseball.
Price had a game-changing double in the bottom of the seventh. On a full count fastball from Ric Melsome, he banged a 2-run double to center, giving the Redbirds a 3-2 lead. It was the 2nd double of the year for Price.
"You look inside of the game, it's just quality approach after quality approach," said Redbirds manager Russ Campbell.
