Waller Lifts Thunder Dogs to 7-4 Triumph
|
A 4-RBI performance from shortstop Willie Waller, who is tied for 8th in the SL2 in runs scored with 15, led the Miami HS Thunder Dogs to a win over the Philadelphia HS Flyers, 7-4. Jack Kramer, now 2-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 2.1 innings. The Thunder Dogs improved to 5-11.
Miami HS took a 7-3 lead on Waller's 4th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which he hit off Bob Phillips in the top of the seventh, propelled Miami HS to the win.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Waller.
