Walk-Off Win Makes Atlanta HS 9-9
|
Chameleons Ballpark was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Atlanta HS Chameleons and Honolulu HS Hornets.
In a low-scoring affair between the Atlanta HS Chameleons and the Honolulu HS Hornets, pitcher George Potter was the difference between victory and defeat. The Atlanta HS left-hander earned accolades in the 3-2 Chameleons win. With the win, Atlanta HS raised its record to 9-9.
Tom Pugh was the walk-off hero for Atlanta HS. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Chameleons shortstop hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"We saved our best for last," said Pugh.
