Irving HS Gets 4-1 Road Win
|
Irving HS and Portland HS duked it out and the Jackalopes came out victorious.
The Irving HS Jackalopes bested the Portland HS Eskimos by a score of 4-1, with left fielder Sean Farr getting the main credit. On the day, Farr was 2-5 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs for the Jackalopes. Terry Miller got credit for the save for Irving HS. It was his 3rd of the year.
Mark Flanagan, the 16-year old center fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Flanagan contributed a run-scoring double in the top of the third inning to put Irving HS up, 3-0.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Irving HS manager Ken Goodman. "Our pregame was pretty good."
With this game in the books, Irving HS is 11-13, Portland HS 19-5.
