Chameleons Rally For 5-2 Win
|
The Atlanta HS Chameleons faced a tough opponent in Miami HS pitcher Dave Wheeler, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Chameleons Ballpark by a final score of 5-2. Wheeler went 5.2 innings and allowed no runs. Aaron Head snagged the win in relief. In 4.2 innings, the right-hander allowed 2 runs on 4 hits. He's now 3-0 on the season. Atlanta HS currently is in third place in the Conference 2 Division 2 at 14-18.
Ricardo Martínez, who is the top prospect in the Chameleons organization, helped out the Atlanta HS cause in the bottom of the eighth inning with a run-scoring double. For the game, the catcher went 2-4 with a double.
"If I do my job, we've usually got a good chance to win the game," said Martínez.
