Washington HS got a terrific game from first baseman Austin Wheeler. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Ft. Worth HS, 6-3. Wheeler hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. The save went to Chris Williamson, number 2 for him. With the win, the Falcons improved to 16-22.

The Falcons got a big hit from right fielder Robert Martínez. In the bottom of the fifth, Martínez pounded a 2-run home run to left. His 7th home run of the season put the Falcons ahead, 6-2.

Martínez attributed the win to his team's "hyper resolve."
