Gilbert Excels, But Falcons Win
Despite a great performance by Liberty first baseman William Gilbert, the Air Force Falcons defeated the Flames by the score of 15-11 at Bass Ballpark. Gilbert belted 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 6. Air Force pitcher António López got the win. He's now 1-0. Mike Reynolds was tagged with the loss. The 4th-place Falcons improved to 6-8.

Air Force took the lead in the bottom of the sixth on a big hit from Eduardo Dávila. On a full count fastball from Mike Reynolds, Dávila hit a 2-run single. That made it 10-9, Falcons. For the day, Dávila went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4.
