The Air Force Falcons called upon starter Pablo Cruz, and he delivered, leading his team to victory over the Florida Gulf Coast Eagles, 8-2. The winning pitcher was Cruz, now 1-0. He tossed 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 4 and fanning 5. Air Force has won 4 consecutive games.
With one out in the bottom of the sixth, Eleele Kealani put Air Force in front, 4-1, with a 2-run single. The Falcons went on to win the ballgame.
"If we keep hitting the ball well, the wins will pile up," said Air Force skipper Jorge Azapinto.
