Storm Sammonds pitched well, but his team, the Kennesaw Owls, still dropped a 4-2 decision to the Maine Black Bears at Yellow Jackets Ballpark. Jesús Ainsa recorded the save for Maine, his 2nd of the season. With the win, the Black Bears improved to 13-20.

In the bottom of the third, with Maine leading 1-0, Frank Webb hit a cutter from Storm Sammonds for a 2-run single, giving the Black Bears the lead, 3-0.

"You never take a win for granted in this league," said Webb.
