Norris Leads Eagles to 14-6 Win Over Lancers
The Winthrop Eagles bested the Longwood Lancers, 14-6, at Speedsters Ballpark. Conner Norris was one of the standouts. He went 3 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 5. Doug Wallace, the winner, improved to 2-1. He held the Lancers to 2 runs on 3 hits over 5.2 innings, while striking out 7 and walking 1. Winthrop is now 18-22.

The result might have been different, had it not been for Jack Davis, the Winthrop first baseman. Davis had a bases-clearing double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Eagles ahead, 11-2. For the game, Davis had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
